All students participate in essential core instruction in the areas of language arts, math, science and social studies in the general education classroom. Due to the numerous National and State Content Standards, CCPA has specific standards of focus called “Power Standards.”  Based on these particular standards, each grade level has specific knowledge and skills that must be mastered prior promotion to the next grade level. These power standards serve the purpose of mastering critical areas on content for each grade level.  A variety of curriculum materials and research based instructional strategies are used to accomplish learning outcomes.  For a listing of current curriculum used click here. Technology applications are used for all grades and subjects but are ever changing according to the vast amount of resources available.
